Today, Friday, 20th of Hamal, thousands of graduates from medical faculties are participating in the final exam, known as the “Exit Exam.” However, for the fourth consecutive year, girls and women have been deprived of taking this exam.

A number of female graduates, exhausted by the continuation of these restrictions, are demanding their removal. According to them, the persistence of this situation not only leaves them in uncertainty and with an unclear future, but also reduces the number of skilled professionals and leads to a shortage of female staff in the country’s healthcare system, ultimately lowering the quality of services and pushing the sector toward a broader crisis.

Some girls, in conversations with the newspaper 8 AM, have called for the lifting of these bans and restrictions. They say that being excluded from the Medical Council exam has left them in a state of uncertainty. Despite having sufficient knowledge and experience, they add, no institution is willing to employ them.

Sharara Sediqi, a dental graduate, says that these restrictions have affected her morale and motivation. She explains that knowing she cannot participate in the exam has made her very disappointed and worried about her uncertain future. She also says her biggest concern is that the knowledge she has gained may gradually fade over time, or that she may lose the opportunity to make use of it.
